Orestes L. Lugo

President and CEO

Orestes served most recently as President and CEO at Renal CarePartners, a privately held dialysis company, from 2002 until 2011. Prior, he held the role of CFO at Renex Corp., a publicly held dialysis company, from 1995 until 2000. He also served as CFO of Pacificare of Florida from 1993 until 1995, and originally began in dialysis in 1989 at Home Intensive Care, a publicly held home dialysis and infusion company, where he was the VP of Finance from 1989 until 1993. A CPA, Mr. Lugo started his professional career at Deloitte and Touche, where he worked from 1980 until 1989 as an Audit Senior Manager.

 

Jeff Fernandez

CFO

Jeff most recently served as Chief Financial Officer for Renal CarePartners, Inc., a privately held dialysis company, from 2002 until 2011. Between 2000 and 2002, he held the role of Corporate Controller for BrightStar Corp., a telecommunications company. Jeff served as Corporate Controller for Renex Corp., a publicly traded dialysis company, from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, Jeff was the Manager of Financial Reporting for IVAX Corp., a publicly traded pharmaceuticals company. Mr. Fernandez began his financial career with the public accounting firm of Arthur Andersen and is a Certified Public Accountant.

 

Judith Johnson

Director of Operations

Judith most recently served as Facility Administrator for US Renal Care. Prior to that, she was the Facility Director for Innovative Dialysis Systems where she was responsible for meeting clinical outcome goals and regulatory compliance. Judith previously served as Facility Administrator for Renal Care Partners and had oversight of multiple facilities, including managing the opening of de novo clinics. Judith has over 21 years of nursing experience, the past 15 years in the specialty of nephrology. She began her dialysis career at St. Mary’s hospital as a dialysis nurse in both chronic and acute settings and has worked in the capacity of clinical services specialist for DaVita and clinic manager for Fresenius Medical Care. Judith holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is a Certified Nephrology Nurse.

 

Kimberly Stephenson

Director of Business Development

Kimberly has more than 12 years of business development experience within the medical industry, the past eight of which she has spent in dialysis. She most recently served as a Regional Sales Manager at Ascend Clinical, a dialysis laboratory and software company, where she was responsible for business development, management of national account customers, and projects for continuous quality improvement. Kim earned her B.S. in Biology from the University of North Carolina.

 

Beth Ash

Director of Business Development

Beth began working in the dialysis industry in 2003. Initially, she was a Regional Sales Manager for Satellite Laboratory Services (Ascend Clinical). Beth has also worked as a Regional Manager with Henry Schein and most recently contributed to the launch of McKesson Specialty Health’s drug distribution offering to the nephrology and dialysis industry.
